The Edge Hill Careers Team are super helpful. They have a careers corner in the Catalyst. And an online portal where you can find opportunities, submit your applications to them to be checked before you submit it. They are super friendly too! And you get this service for 3 years after you graduate too. They may also ring you after you graduate to see if you need any extra support.

The university offers a lot of careers support, there are often allocated careers workers based around your subject who can help specifically with finding appropriate job offers and writing cover letters. There is also a lot of support surrounding creating CVs and how to navigate job websites.
The university is so so supportive. There is an amazing careers team who have really supported me in finding what it is I want to do as someone who was quite unsure. They even have specific careers advisors for different departments as well as general ones.
They have been amazing at supporting me throughout my time at university and I actually had a careers appointment today which I am feeling really positive about :) They are really helpful at listening to you and your skills/ aspirations and working with you to help you to get there. For example, there’s lots of opportunity to gain experience at the university, e.g., as a Student Guide or Ambassador, as well as gaining experience specific to your subject, for example I did a Psychology Internship in my second year in which I was essentially a Research Assistant! There are also lots of placement opportunities to consider which they can support you with as well.
They are amazing at giving specific advice about how to gain skills and experience in the area you are interested in :)
